All data received by the centre about a service-user will be treated confidentially and not passed on to any other party for gain or information with one exception if required by a court of law. 


This data forms a legally binding contract for services with the centre. The information required by the centre will be submitted by the service-user voluntarily for a specific purpose whether for training or counselling.

Information will be used with the direct consent of the service-user for the purposes of the centre only. Anyone associated with the centre will expect to comply with this notice and current data protection laws as currently stated.

Registration to the centre will include name, address and contact details in case of emergency. Date of birth is a formal requirement for registration.


This may also include details on previous education for the purpose of training only.
Paper records are kept unless registered with an awarding body for the purpose of training only.
Information will be shared on a need-to-know basis with whomever the service-user is working with within the centre, and held with Gloria Marshall and the respective tutor.

Information will be maintained for a period no longer than 72months (to ensure any complaint may be adequately dealt with within the period required by the Insurers).
Copy of Insurers is provided and available in the pursuit of complaint against the centre for breach of this and any policy held by the centre.

Any service-user may have their information withdrawn from the centre at their request pending contracts have been fulfilled.
All individual associates with Cariño must be adequately trained, informed and insured and comply with all policies as currently stated (subject to change).

TC-L4 APQ

As part of the BACP Approved Practitioner Qualification, you will be required to provide information to process your application for the Certificate of Proficiency test.

Some of the information you supply will be used by:

  • CPCAB (the awarding organisation associated with your course) will upload candidates’ achievement data to the Learning Record Service, who then in turn will update the candidate’s personal learning records.

  • CPCAB will share BACP student membership numbers with BACP to verify BACP Certificate of Proficiency (CoP) results for qualification certification.

  • The Learning Records Service to fulfil its statutory functions, issue/verify your Unique Learner Number (ULN) and update/check your Personal Learning Record. The Learning Records Service may share your ULN and Personal Learning Record with other education related organisations, such as your careers service, school, college, university, Government Departments and public bodies responsible for funding your education.
